If you are new to clean beauty, or have been looking to transition towards using more natural skincare products, you came to the right place. I am excited to share my experience with using The Detox Market products, which is one of my top skincare brands. When it comes to clean beauty products, you want to make sure about the quality, packaging, benefits as well as compliance with non-toxic ingredients. And let’s face it, who doesn’t want to have glowing skin with the safest products?
I am a strong advocate for natural ingredients in skincare. Even though I recently transitioned to a clean beauty routine, I’ve tried quite a few products. So, my reviews here are entirely based on my own experience. These are products I currently use and love, that’s why I’m giving my honest thoughts. I actually purchased each one of these products, and I noticed how they work well for my skin. Keep reading my review on this skincare line.
The Detox Market and its clean beauty products
This brand was created about a decade ago by Romain Gaillard, after learning about the toxicity in personal care products. One of his friends suffered from breast cancer. Besides that, he was concerned about how the beauty industry wasn’t regulated. So, in an effort to promote green beauty, he created this line with standards of product safety, more wellbeing and cruelty-free formulas.
One of the things I absolutely love about this brand is that their products are free from toxic ingredients like parabens, sulfates, silicones, and others. As a matter of fact, there is a list of banned components that you should look out for in order for a product to be considered green. And, The Detox Market line complies with these qualities. You can learn more about toxic ingredients in skincare in this post.
The Detox Market: Clean beauty products review
Honestly, I’ve never used any other products that left my skin feeling so silky and healthy, like this brand. That’s one of the main reasons why I believe in this line and why I recommend it so much. You can’t go wrong with products that are ethically made, safe for the environment, natural, and appropriate for your skin type. Here are my favorites and the ones I am currently using.
G. Tox. Malachite+fruit acid pore purifying cleanser
This is hands down my top choice for natural facial cleansers. Because I have oily skin, I needed to find a good cleanser that not only removes all impurities, but also keeps the oil/moisture balance on my skin. This cleanser does just that, it gets rid of all the makeup, pollution, detoxifies and purifies for healthy-looking, soft skin.
It has fruit acids that lather to a rich dense foam. This cleanser has a clear, green color and it smells like heaven! Besides that, I love that it stimulates my senses, and there’s no need to use too much to get the effect. Just a few drops will get the job done. This is the first step in your skincare routine. You can use it during daytime, at night, or to remove your makeup.
Clean beauty products: Schaf Facial scrub
I was looking for a facial scrub that wouldn’t leave my skin all dry and stripped, and I’m glad I found this one. It is very cleansing, and it exfoliates your skin gently. This scrub has white lava particles and bamboo beads that polish away dead skin cells. Besides that, it leaves your face so smooth and refreshed. I love that the scrub texture is soft and thick, it lathers well in the skin and smells fresh. It also has a pleasant creamy color.
As a second step of your skincare routine, you want to apply it on wet skin and then rinse with warm water.
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Herbal toner
This refreshing formula is the ultimate combination of toning and aromatherapy. It smells ahh mazing!!! Its ingredients include fresh aloe vera, organic witch hazel, wild chamomile flowers, lavender, rosemary and other plant ingredients. This toner helps to unify your skin tone while closing your pores. It is deeply hydrating for the skin. It works well on oily skin, but it can also be used on other skin types. According to its creator, this is the raw holistic organic skin food.
Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask
Well, let’s talk about face masks. You really can’t miss out on a good mask in your weekly skincare routine. Honestly, there are different types of face masks. Also, each one has different qualities and functionality on the skin. You can find hydrating, rejuvenating, purifying, antioxidants, etc. This cacao mask has all these benefits in one.
It has this dark, very thick texture that blends well when you apply to your skin. You can also sense that cacao smell. What I love the most about this antioxidant mask is how it detoxifies and clears the skin through plants and herbs. Its rich cacao antioxidants support the skin’s natural healing. Also, the plant oils help to calm, nourish and maintain hydration in the skin. You can use it 2-3 times per week. It also works wonders if you have any breakouts or dark spots.
Indie Lee Active Oil Moisturizer
This moisturizer has worked wonders on my skin, especially during the cold months. Indie Lee is one of those formulas created to both hydrate and protect your skin. It feels amazing because it is so lightweight, and it blends evenly in the skin. To be honest, this is the first time that I tried a moisturizer that doesn’t feel oily, sticky or that leaves my skin extra shiny. It is perfect for oily skin, and it helps to keep the moisture under control. This moisturizer has mandarin and daisy extracts that promote a more even complexion, jasmine and other flowers that rebalance, calm and condition the skin. It also has antioxidants like vitamin C, resveratrol and pomegranate which protect against pollution.
I use this moisturizer daily, on bare skin or even under my makeup. And, you don’t need to apply too much product, just a tiny dime size will do well on your skin.
Schaf Arctic mud treatment
This face mask has organic plant-based ingredients that help to leave the skin radiant. The arctic mud treatment is a face mask that improves skin complexion. It’s key ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which promotes definition and volume. After using this mask regularly, I noticed how my skin had a healthier glow, and refined texture. It also has Gotu Kala and other ingredients that rejuvenate, promote healing, and stimulate collagen. Some other things that I noticed about this mud mask is how it helped to reduce my skin pores and fine lines. It is also great to even your skin tone.
This mask has a thick, white creamy texture and has a neutral odor. This is another one of my faves because it really has many benefits in one. I love that it sets evenly on the skin and it doesn’t cause any irritations. You can feel how nourishing it is. If you have sensitive skin, this face mask is for you.
Odacité Green Tea lemongrass facial serum concentrate
The serum from this line is a bonus to your skincare routine. It’s like the cherry to the top of the cake! This formula boosts the radiance on your skin. It actually helped to improve my skin’s brightness, without making it look oily. This serum’s main ingredient is green tea, which is antioxidant and helps to avoid irritation. It is lightweight and has this fresh plant smell. This is actually perfect to stimulate your senses as well.
Because the serum is concentrated, all you need is 2-3 drops. You can use it during the day and night. I only apply it a couple times a week and it works well for my skin.
My spring/ summer skincare routine
A final word,
The Detox Market created a fine line of products that is perfect to moisturize, protect, clean, rejuvenate, and nourish the skin. I found that these clean beauty products are good for oily skin and that they are gentle for sensitive skin types. In terms of their formulas, they have fresh, natural, plant-based ingredients, which make these perfect for a healthier skin. Also, a small amount of each product works well, so you’ll have enough for months at a time. Overall, I love all of these here because of the benefits, texture and great scent. The investment is so worth it! Let me know if you’re ready to give these a try and upgrade your skincare regimen in the comments.
