Besides that, kombucha has other great things you don’t want to miss.

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a fermented drink, with a slightly acid flavor. This refreshing drink is one of the great sources of probiotics. Our body needs these regularly for good digestion and weight loss. Basically, experts say that this food came from China. As a matter of fact, many refer to it as the “elixir of life”. One of the things I like about Kombucha is that it’s made from red tea. This part is then fermented by a mushroom called SCOBY:  Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast.

As a nutritionist, I love the fact that Kombucha is gaining popularity and replacing the traditional “soda” drinks. It has great flavor, refreshing properties and multiple healthy benefits. Therefore, there’s actually no need to have empty calorie drinks. Kombucha’s probiotics are the main reason why many consider it a “superfood”.
